Experimenting with adding a Centronics connector to my internal SCSI bus has resulted in what appears to be a blown SCSI fuse. Replacing this will almost certainly require me to take the unit completely apart, which has a high probability of me destroying it altogether. Fortunately, I came across a saintly URL (which I have mirrored) stating that the SCSI bus can be powered by a secondary device that feeds termination power to the SCSI bus. I eliminated the dreaded "Waiting for HD" message by powering the bus through the external SCSI port via my PC.
Note to self - stop being obsessed with Recycle data transfer and concentrate more on building a library of hits mapped to keys and also chopping transients by hand. Thank you.
